Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Deepak Vijayvargiya on Friday accused the Congress of fabricating stories to tarnish the party’s image over the recent controversy surrounding Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

” Congress is propagating fabricated things which have no basis. They are trying to tarnish BJP’s image,” said Vijayvargiya.

AAP’s Delhi Budget: Colleges, rural areas to get free Wi-Fi

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who presented the state budget in the Delhi Assembly on Thursday, announced that all the colleges and rural villages in the city will get free Wi-Fi in the first phase.

Rs. 5,908 crore is allocated for the municipal corporation and Rs. 4,993 crore to be returned to Centre as loans.

Terrorists kill one cop, injure two other persons in Pak

Terrorists have killed one police official and injured two other persons after they opened fire outside a court room in Peshawar on Thursday.

The incident occurred in the judicial complex in Peshawar, the capital of province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is not confirmed if the two injured victims were also policemen.

The injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital where their condition is said to be stable.

CII members pledge to give up their LPG subsidy

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) president Sumit Mazumder on Thursday appealed to the body’s members to pledge to give up their LPG subsidies.

“The ‘Give It Up’ campaign is a novel way to strike at the conscience of the citizens. I appeal to CII members to pledge to give up their LPG subsidies”, said Mazumder, while speaking at the CII national council meeting held here.

He also asserted that CII is committed to playing a key role for a more inclusive and equitable society and are happy to partner with government for such initiatives.

Courtney Love Cobain has been attacked by violent anti- Uber taxi protesters in Paris.

The 50-year-old tweeted a picture of her taxi’s shattered window after it was attacked by cabbies and her driver was taken hostage, the Daily Mail reported.

Love told fellow singer Kanye West in a tweet that she might have to turn back and hide out with him. She also published a string of furious tweets asking the French President François Hollande where his police were after her car was apparently attacked by picketers shortly after leaving an airport.

Japan may join US in conducting patrols in South China Sea

Chief of the Joint Staff of the Japan Self-Defense Forces has said that the country may join US forces in its regular patrolling in the South China Sea.

Admiral Katsutoshi Kawano said that the recent moves by China to build artificial islands have created “very serious potential concerns” for Japan, reported The Wall Street Journal.

Japan does not have any plans to conduct surveillance in the South China Sea currently but the country may consider it, depending on the situation, Adm. Kawano said.

Ashwin climbs to 10th spot in ODI bowlers’ rankings

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has climbed up two places into 10th spot in the ICC’s latest rankings for bowlers after taking six scalps in the recently concluded series against Bangladesh.

Ashwin was the leading wicket-taker for India but remained well behind rookie Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who claimed 13 wickets during his debut series.

The spinner was the only Indian bowler to feature in the top-10 list.

A tiny tooth plate from the fossil fish Romundina stellina was found in a box, which had been in storage for more than 40 years.

Palaeontologists from Naturalis Biodiversity Center, Netherlands and the University of Bristol, United Kingdom, studied the fossil using high energy X-rays at the Swiss Light Source at the Paul Scherrer Institut in Switzerland, revealing the structure and development of teeth and bones.
