Fashion designer Carolina Herrera has slammed Kim Kardashian, Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez’s dressing style.

Herrera, 76, said she was disappointed with their fashion choices at Met Gala 2015 as they were almost naked, reported Ace Showbiz.

“It’s so modern to be naked or almost naked. They think it’s going to attract younger people if they do those dresses. No!” the designer said.

During the Met Gala, Kardashian, 34, wore a white see-through dress with feathers trailing from her bottom to the floor.

Victoria Beckham donates items from Harper’s wardrobe

Singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham has donated outfits from her daughter Harper’s wardrobe for a charity auction.

The former Spice Girl has donated 25 pieces of designer children’s clothes, all worn by her three-year-old daughter to Save the Children UK for Fashion Saves Lives Sale, reported Contactmusic.

The outfits will go under the hammer at a charity auction at the Mary’s Living & Giving shop, a small boutique in the well-heeled London neighbourhood of Primrose Hill, on June 18.

Taylor Swift imparts grammar lessons to fans

Country star Taylor Swift recently gave a grammar lesson to a fan, who first told her that she might’ve forgotten to put an apostrophe in handwritten lyrics of her 1989 song “Wildest Dreams”.

The lyrics that read, “Say you’ll see me again, even if its just in your wildest dreams,” are written in one of the polaroid photos from the deluxe edition of Swift’s latest album.

The fan named Maddy Werch then wrote on Tumblr, “uh, taylor there’s supposed to an apostrophe s on its btw.”

Mexican-American actress Salma Hayek thinks having plastic surgery is “a big risk” but she has not completely ruled out going under the knife in the future.

The 48-year-old actress, who runs the cosmetics company Nuance Salma Hayek, says she is not planning to get plastic surgery now.

“I don’t really take big risks when it comes to beauty. I think a big risk is plastic surgery. I’m very conservative in my beauty routine. I don’t know if I would never get plastic surgery. I’m not planning on it right now.”

Actor Bradley Cooper is the latest celebrity to sue a French magazine for invasion of privacy following the publication of a story about his love life with Irina Shayk.

The “American Sniper” star filed a lawsuit against “Oops!” reported Ace Showbiz.

According to a statement which Cooper, 40, filed with the help of French lawyer Vincent Toledano, the actor had never publicly addressed dating rumors with the Russian model.

Leah Messer finalises divorce

“Teen Mom 2” star Leah Messer has reportedly finalised her divorce from second husband Jeremy Calvert.

The 23-year-old reality TV star and Calvert, 24, also agreed to the custody terms, which gives Messer custody of the couple’s daughter, Adalynn, two.

Calvert will have visitation rights, reported Us Magazine.

The young mother is currently in a treatment center and did not attend the hearing, which her lawyer was present for.

Messer checked into a treatment facility for a 30-day programme to deal with depression and stress, a source said.

Hungary selects ‘Son of Saul’ for Oscars

“Son of Saul”, directed by Laszlo Nemes, will be Hungary’s official entry in Foreign-Language category for the 2016 Oscars.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hungary is believed to be the first country to have picked its Oscar contender for 2016.

“Son of Saul” is set in Auschwitz in 1944 and follows the life of Saul Auslander, a Jewish Hungarian enlisted to assist the Nazis in their mass killing in a claustrophobic manner.

British singer Adele’s “21” is the biggest-selling album of the decade till date in the UK.

“Rolling In The Deep” hitmaker’s all-conquering sophomore set has sold more than 4.75 million copies in her homeland to hold-off a challenge for top honors from homegrown boyband Take That, according to the Official Charts Company.

Adele’s blockbuster recording has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide following its arrival in 2011, reported Billboard.

The “Fancy” hitmaker, who previously underwent breast enhancement surgery, was spotted coming out of a clinic in Beverly Hills, California earlier this week with a red, blotchy face.

2 Pak-origin brothers jailed for plotting terror attack in US

Two Pakistani-American brothers were today sentenced to 35 years and 20 years in prison by a court in Florida for plotting terrorist attacks in New York City and assaulting two federal officers while in custody.

The two brothers Raees Alam Qazi, 22, and Sheheryar Alam Qazi, 32, both naturalised US citizens from Pakistan, were sentenced to 35 years and 20 years respectively by US District Court Judge Beth Bloom of the Southern District of Florida.

Their prison term will be followed by 10 years and five years of supervised release, respectively.

500 passengers face hardship at IGI due to flight delay

Around 500 passengers of budget carrier SpiceJet had to face hardship at the IGI airport here today after its three flights were delayed due to non- availability of plane, which were stuck at other airport due to bad weather and a medical emergency.

Of the three flights, which were delayed, two were bound to Mumbai while one to Bengaluru from here, sources said.

Angry over the inordinate delay, two passengers allegedly had a scuffle with the airline staffs, they said.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper during a meeting with Pope Francis today discussed decades of abuse suffered by aboriginal children at Catholic boarding schools in Canada, a government statement said.

Harper’s meeting with the pontiff at the Vatican wraps up nearly a week of travel for the Canadian leader, including his participation at the G7 summit in Germany.

Harper did not, however, ask the pope to apologise for what a truth and reconciliation commission report recently called the “spiritual, cultural, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse” of students at Church-run institutions.

The Islamic State group today released a propaganda documentary marking a year since it captured Mosul and recounting its surprise at how easily it took over Iraq’s second city.

Germanwings pilot saw 7 doctors in month before crash

A Germanwings pilot who ploughed his plane into the French Alps saw 41 doctors in five years, seven of them in the month before the crash, a prosecutor said today in Paris.

Speaking after a meeting with some 200 relatives of the victims in the French capital, prosecutor Brice Robin also announced the probe into the crash was being expanded to see if anyone could be held liable for manslaughter.

Dozens of penguins wash up dead on coast of Uruguay

Dozens of penguins have shown up dead over the past three days on the coast of Uruguay, a government official said today.

One group of young specimens was found in the Rocha area 210 km east of Montevideo, and then another at a beach in the resort town of Punta del Este, said Graciela Fabiano of the National Directorate of Water Resources.

The agency has no penguin monitoring program but at this time of year penguins do tend to show up on the coast, sometimes dead, and the movement is associated with migratory patterns, she said.

Pakistani teacher accidentally shoots pupil dead

A teacher in northwest Pakistan accidentally shot dead a 12-year-old pupil today while cleaning his pistol in the staff room, police said.

Teachers in northwest Pakistan were given permission to carry firearms in the classroom after Taliban militants massacred 132 students at a school in the city of Peshawar in December.

Today’s deadly incident happened on the outskirts of Mingora, around 180 kilometres northeast of Peshawar.

RTI activist demands audit of Mumbai Metro

RTI activist Anil Galgali today demanded an audit of Mumbai Metro to bring before public the real picture about expenses incurred in its construction and operation.

He made the demand during his presentation before Fare Fixation Committee (FFC) that held its first meeting to decide the tariff structure of Mumbai Metro whose first phase was commissioned in June last year.

Galgali, along with other activists, has been demanding that the fares be kept at level fixed by State Government (between Rs 9 and 13 depending on distance).
