Pop star Britney Spears has revealed her alternative dream job would be to become nany of superstar couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s six children.

The 33-year-old singer said she wanted to meet the ‘Brangelina’ family again, reported E! Online.

“I’ve met Brad Pitt once but I’d like to meet the (family) again, and I’d like to become their nanny,” the “Piece of Me” singer said.

Reacting to the host who said that would be a full time job, Spears added, “That sounds fun to me!”

Gerard Butler’s ‘London Has Fallen’ pushed to 2016

Actor Gerard Butler’s “London Has Fallen”, which was originally slated to release on October 2 this year, will now hit theatres in 2016.

The release of the sequel to 2013’s “Olympus Has Fallen” has been pushed to January 22, said the Hollywood Reporter.

The earlier release date would have seen the action thriller get competition from “The Martian” and “The Walk”.

Butler will reprise his role as the former Special Forces soldier Mike Banning, who thwarts a plot to assassinate world leaders in London.

Directed by Babak Najafi, “London Has Fallen” also stars Morgan Freeman.

Singer-actress Monica Lewis dies at 93

American singer-actress Monica Lewis, best known for voicing popular cartoon series “Chiquita Banana”, has passed away. She was 93.

She died yesterday of natural causes at her apartment in Woodland Hills, California, reported Variety.

The former Benny Goodman vocalist is survived by sons Rocky and Mike (the noted jazz pianist) and three grandchildren.

She began a 14-year campaign as the voice of Chiquita Banana series that was shown in movie theatres, and soon the entire country was singing along to “You should never put bananas in the refrigerator-No No, No No!”

India looking to expand industrial presence in SE Asia: NSIC

National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) has said it is looking at areas of mutual cooperation between Indian and Singaporean enterprises to expand India’s industrial presence in South East Asia.

“We would like to see if there are areas of mutual cooperation whereby Indian and Singaporean enterprises can have relationships. We would like to build that type of relationships,” NSIC chairman and managing director Ravindra Nath said.

Power theft at cold storage; owner booked

An instance of alleged power theft has come to light at a cold storage unit here with a case having been booked against its owner, police said.

According to SP (City) Sarvan Kumar, the theft was discovered yesterday by a team of vigilance department officials when they raided the unit owned by one Rashid Siddiqui, who is said to be a local Samajwadi Party leader.

The case in the matter was lodged by Vigilance Inspector Narendra Singh at Kotwali police station.

Punjab: 5 dead, over 100 taken ill in ammonia gas tanker leak

Five persons were killed and over 100 others had to be hospitalised after inhaling hazardous fumes in an ammonia gas tanker leak early today in the district, police said.

The incident occurred when the tanker got stuck under a flyover along a canal on the Doraha Bypass Road, about 25-km from here, they said.

“Five persons died from inhaling the gas and over 100 others complained of breathing problems.

PCB to give preference to seniors in Central Contract system

The PCB has decided to give seniority the priority in finalizing the new central contracts for 2015 with the captains of all three formats of the game being placed in the top category.

According to a well-placed source in the board the PCB will announce the list of players being given the central contracts after the board of governors meeting on Saturday.

“A total of 31 players are being given central contracts and the board has decided after consulting with the national selectors and the present captains to place seniors in the top category,” the source said.

The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shaharyar Khan has rubbished allegations that they bribed the Zimbabwean cricketers to tour Pakistan for a short limited over series, last month.

Khan said on Friday that while it had paid around USD 500,000 to Zimbabwe cricket to cover their expenses for the tour but it was unfortunate there had been talk about players being bribed to tour Pakistan.

45-yr-old man shot dead, 2 injured in clash

One person was shot dead while two others were injured in a clash here in the Jandath area, police said.

According to Circle Officer Mukesh Mishra, the deceased has been identified as Santerpal (45).

Trouble started as an altercation broke out last night between Santerpal and Mahabir that soon turned violent with more people joining in and firearms being used by the clashing sides, police said.

A new test that identifies changes in cell metabolism through urine samples may detect breast cancer early, scientists say.

Researchers at the University of Freiburg in Germany have developed a method that involves determining the concentration of molecules that regulate cell metabolism which are often dysregulated in cancer cells.

These molecules, referred to as microRNAs, enter into the urine over the blood. By determining the composition of microRNAs in the urine, the scientists succeeded in establishing with 91 per cent accuracy whether a test subject was healthy or diseased.

A teenager boy was allegedly beaten to death by a man and his four sons over a petty issue in Bhiwandi here, police said today.

Nayeen Rais Sayyed (18) was playing cricket with other boys in Mhada Colony in Nadi Naka area last night and hit the ball into the accused’s house, Nizampura police station inspector RL Datavkar said.

Accused, identified as Ajan Khan, irked over the same, he picked up a quarrel with the victim and was soon joined by his four sons who launched an assault on the boy.

A South African man, who recently underwent world’s first penile transplant, will soon become a father.

Andre van der Merwe, the surgeon at Stellenbosch University and Tygerberg Hospital who performed the operation, said that they got know about the success of their transplant when the first penile transplant recipient’s girlfriend informed that she was four months’ pregnant, the BBC has reported.

The 21-year-old recipient was 18 when he lost his penis in a botched circumcision and was left with just 1cm of his original penis.

Researchers at the University of Gothenburg revealed that the concentration of nitrogen in plants’ tissue is lower in air with high levels of carbon dioxide, regardless of whether or not the plants’ growth is stimulated.

The study examines various types of ecosystems, including crops, grasslands and forests, and involves large-scale field experiments conducted in eight countries on four continents.

Andhra Pradesh State Minority Commission made successful representation for withdrawal of charge-sheet against 5 Muslim youth implicated in false allegations by Nizamabad I Town police in Nizamabad district.
