MBT promised that it will develop Old City more than the new city. It is approaching public with developmental plans to eradicate poverty and backwardness whereas its opponents are wasting time in leveling face charge against it. Attempts to get Abdul Qadeer released

Ms. Sabera Begum, wife of Abdul Qadeer wrote a letter to Jail Superintendent of Cherlapalli jail to refer the case of Abdul Qadir to medical board as per the provisions of GO. Ms No. 44 dated 16th March 2007.

According to the Govt. policy a prisoner who is undergoing life sentence and if his conduct is good, he can be released on Medical grounds. It is very surprising that despite completing life sentence, Abdul Qader is not being released.

Maulana Abdul Qavi’s bail petition rejected

Special POTA court of Ahmadabad rejected the bail petition filed by Maulana Abdul Qavi, who is in Sabarmati jail. His bail petition was filed by the advocates of Jamiatul Ulema. Ahmadabad’s Crime Detection Branch opposed his bail petition saying that investigations are still in progress in Crime Number DSB-6. Preparation are being made to file charge sheet in respect of Maulana Abdul Qavi. His advocate told the court that Maulana Qavi has been illegally implicated in the case and he is innocent.

United Muslims Forum supports Jai Prakash Narayan

United Muslim Forum has decided to support 13 LS and 189 Assembly candidates. It has also decided to campaign in favour of these candidates. They include sum of the controversial candidates also.

Mr. Mohammed Abdur Raheem Quraishi, President of United Muslim Forum told that appeals are being made to defeat TDP and BJP alliance. TRS Chief, Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao met Mr. Ram Madhav of RSS. It is likely that TRS and YSR Congress Party may become party of NDA after elections.

Rahul targets Modi over land sale to Adani

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi today alleged that Narendra Modi sold off thousands of acres of farmers’ land to the Adani group at a throwaway price, and the latter made a huge profit out of it.

Taking a dig at BJP’s prime ministerial candidate over his `chowkidar’ (watchman) comment, Rahul said, “The chowkidar sold 45,000 acres of farmers’ land at a rate of Rs 1 per sq meter to Adanis in Gujarat. The industrialist then sold the land at Rs 800 per sq meter. His company, which was worth Rs 3,000, is now worth Rs 40,000 crore. But nobody got a job there.”

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Shikhar Dhawan on Tuesday put the blame for their crushing 72-run defeat against Kings XI Punjab in their IPL match in Sharjah on their fielding lapses and batting failure.

“We dropped lots of catches, especially the Maxwell catch and after that he went on to score big. Target went very high and then we lost lots of wickets while chasing, it was a big batting failure,” said a dejected Dhawan after his team was dismissed for 121 with four balls to spare.

Bringing the curtain down on the over six-year long paternity row, the Delhi high court on Tuesday held that ND Tiwari is the biological father of 32-year-old Rohit Shekhar and restrained the veteran Congress leader from disowning this in public.

Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw considered the DNA test result that had held 89-year-old Tiwari as biological father of Rohit on July 27, 2012 and various news reports, based on a press conference held on March 3 this year, in which the leader had admitted that the youth is his son.

Modi says he is sure Mamata will not join NDA

BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he was sure Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee would not join NDA but said “more than anger against her”, he was disappointed that she ‘failed’ to bring West Bengal out of the “mess” created by 34-year-long Left Front rule.

“We are sure that Mamataji won’t join us (NDA), we have no confusion about it nor have we any apprehension about it,” Modi said at an interview with news channel ABP Ananda.

Abbas sets new conditions for peace talks with Israel

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Tuesday that he will accept to extend the peace talks with Israel if the latter releases the final group of Palestinian prisoners and freezes settlement construction.

If Israel believes in the two-state solution, it should negotiate with the Palestinians to set the borders of both countries within a period of one month, two months, or three months, he added.

“But they (the Israelis) must freeze settlement activity during the negotiations time,” Xinhua quoted Abbas as saying.

Repoll in nine Odisha polling stations April 25

The Election Commission Tuesday ordered repolling in nine polling stations in Odisha April 25 after allegations of rigging and other irregularities during the April 17 polling in the state.

Repolling will be held in six polling stations in Cuttack district, two in Keonjhar district and one in Kendrapara district, joint chief electoral officer Jyoti Prakash Dash told IANS.

Repolling will start at all the nine polling stations at 7 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m., he said.

Dalit, minority kids pushed out of schools: HRW

School authorities in India have persistently discriminated against children from Dalit, minority and other marginalised communities, pushing them out of education, a report by Human Rights Watch said Tuesday.

According to the report “They Say We’re Dirty: Denying an Education to India’s Marginalised”, the discrimination ranges from differentiation in serving mid-day meals, and not being allowed to go to toilets, to making them clean toilets and classrooms.

Arab lawmakers criticise Israel over enlisting more Christians

Arab lawmakers Tuesday criticised Israel’s plans to raise the number of Christian conscripts for the Israeli army, calling it a divisive policy for the Arab community in the country.

The remarks came after the Israeli Army Radio revealed Tuesday that voluntary conscription notices will be sent to all Christian Arabs of enlistment age in the coming days, instructing them to report to recruitment stations for preliminary screening, Xinhua reported.

Maxwell stars again in Kings XI big win

BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Tuesday said he has always taken moral responsibility for the deaths in the 2002 Godhara riots.

Asked whether he followed ‘Rajdharma’ during the 2002 riots, Modi said in an interview to ABP News: “I have taken it (moral responsibility for any person killed in Gujarat) since day one. In my speech in the state assembly, all my interviews, speeches, I have mentioned it.”

Sale of cattle for slaughter hits village economy: Modi

BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Tuesday reiterated his opposition to what he described as “pink revolution” or cow slaughter, saying cattle was an integral part of village economy and the issue should not be linked to any community.

In an interview to ABP News TV channel, Modi said the disappearance of “pashu” or cattle from villages was “bad for the economy”.
