The below recipe makes a firm and heavy cheesecake, nicely flavored with lemon.

Ingredients

For Cake:

2 ½ pounds softened cream cheese
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
3 tablespoons flour
zest of one lemon
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 large whole eggs
2 large egg yolks
¼ cup heavy cream

For Crust:

5 ounces Barnham and Bailey Animal Crackers,or, Sweet Digestive Biscuits,(but no extra sugar with these).
3 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons melted butter

Procedure

For Crust:

Butter bottom and sides of 10 inch springform pan.

Recipe: Almond Spice Sandwich

Ingredients:

Almond Butter, ½ cup
Honey, 1 tablespoon
Ground Cinnamon, 1 teaspoon
Sliced almonds, 4 tablespoon
Raisins, 4 tablespoon
Whole Grain Bread, 8 slices

Procedure:

Mix the honey, almond butter, and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
Spread two tablespoons of the almond butter honey mixture on a slice of bread.
Sprinkle one tablespoon of sliced almonds and one tablespoon of raisins over the bread slice.
Top it with the other slice of bread.
Repeat the steps for each slice of bread.

Recipe: Strawberry Bread

Enjoy strawberry bread with cream cheese.

Ingredients :

3 cup flour
2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
20 grams strawberries, frozen
1 cup oil
4 eggs

Procedure:

Preheat oven to 350 F while you grease and flour two loaf pans.

Combine dry ingredients; mix well. Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour all liquid ingredients into it.

Pour mixture into pans and bake for 1 hour, until tester inserted in center comes out clean.

Can be frozen, slice thinly before completely thawed.

Recipe: Pineapple Bread

Give your taste buds a delicious treat with Pineapple bread which is as good as a cake.

Ingredients :

2 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup and 1 tbsp oil
6 broken eggs
3 cups flour
6 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp soda
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3 cups crushed pineapple, undrained
2 1/4 cups walnuts

Procedure:

Combine brown sugar, oil and eggs. Mix well. Sift flour, powder, salt, soda and whole wheat flour. Add pineapple and walnuts.

Topping:

6 tbsp white sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Procedure:

Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of batter.

Recipe: Warming Breakfast Salad

Ingredients:

150g Baby Leaf Spinach
2 Medium Eggs
2 Medium Tomatoes

Procedure:

Rinse the spinach thoroughly, and leave it to drain.
Turn the grill on.
Heat a pan of water and hard-boil the eggs.
Slice the tomatoes in half, place under the grill.
While the eggs and tomatoes are cooking, arrange the spinach leaves on a plate.
Once the eggs are cooked, cut them into four pieces each.
Place the quartered eggs and tomatoes over the bed of spinach and dig into the delicious Warming Breakfast Salad. You’ll agree that there’s no better way to start your day!

Fresh corn salad

Yields: 4 to 5 servings

Ingredients:

Sweet corn 5 ears (husked and silk removed)
Red onion (small) ½ cup diced
Cider vinegar 3 tbsp
Extra-virgin olive oil 3 tbsp
Coarse salt or sea salt ½ teaspoon
Black pepper ½ teaspoon coarsely grounded
Basil leaves ½ cup

Preparation:

Scrape the corn kernels by using a sharp knife. Cut off the stem end to give a flat base. Hold the ear, tip end up, then cut downward, removing a few rows at a time.

MIX VEGETABLE SOUP RECIPE

Ingredients:

1/2 cup carrots (chopped)
1/4 cup french beans (flas beans) (chopped)
1/2 cup peas (matar) (shelled)
1 1/2 cup tomato (tamatar) puree
1 tsp garlic (lasan) paste
1 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
2 tsp coriander leaves (dhania patta) (chopped)
3-4 tsp butter
3 glasses of water
salt (namak) and pepper to taste
for garnishing :

How to make mix vegetable soup:

Melt butter, fry ginger and garlic paste, add tomato puree, carrots, French beans, peas and water. Pressure cook for 5-6 minutes.
Add coriander leaves.
Boil for 2-3 minutes.

STRAWBERRY JAM RECIPE

Ingredients:

1 1/2 kg Strawberries
4 cups Sugar (Cheeni)
1 tsp citric acid

How to make strawberry jam:

Remove the stalks and wash the strawberries.
Put the fruit in a heavy pan and stir till it boils, mash, and add sugar and lemon juice.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Remove the scum.
Boil rapidly till it sets when tested.
Cool, pour into clean and dry jars.
Seal with wax and close the lid tightly.

Badam Milk Shake Recipe

Ingredients:
• 4 cup Milk
• 1/4 cup Badam (Almond)
• 1 cup Sugar
• 5 Cardamoms (crushed)
• Saffron Strands for garnishing

How to make Badam Milk Shake:
• Boil the almonds in a pan for 5 minutes. Remove and drain.
• Peel the skin of the almonds and grind in a blender with sugar to a smooth paste. Keep aside.
• Now heat milk in a heavy bottomed vessel and bring it to a boil.
• Add crushed cardamom, almond-sugar paste, stir and continue to boil for 2 minutes more.
• Remove from the heat, garnish with saffron and serve hot or chilled.

Ingredients:

1½ cups rice
1/2 cup urad dal
Salt to taste
2 large potatoes
1 medium onion (chopped)
1/2 teaspoon yellow split peas
1/2 teaspoon mustard seed
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1-2 green chilli
1 tablespoon oil

Procedure:

Separately soak rice and urad dal at least 6 hour or overnight in water. Grind to paste.

Mix together, add salt with water to make batter.

Leave in room temperature overnight.

Mix onion and chillies to the thin batter.

Heat pan or griddle with little ghee or oil.

Recipe: Vegetable Idli

Ingredients:

Two cups of Rice
1/4 cup urad dal
1 Potato
50 grams shelled green peas
1 carrot
25 grams carrot
1/4 cup chana dal
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 small onion, minced
1 bunch of sliced coriander leaves
2 tblsps finely grated coconut
4 green chillies, minced
A pinch of eating soda
Salt as per taste
1/2 inch ginger

Procedure:

Soak dal and rice in water for around 6 hours.

Steam cook all the vegetables and mince them.

Extract thick juice from coconut.

Ingredients

Cooking spray
2½ cups buttermilk pancake mix
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
? cup sugar
½ cup sour cream
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup water
¼ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup finely chopped nuts

Procedure

Preheat oven to 375°F.
Use cooking spray to lightly coat an 8 or 9 inch baking pan.
Combine baking mix, chocolate chips and a cup of sugar and stir until barely mixed.
Add sour cream, vanilla, and water, and mix well.
Spoon into 16 2-inch dough balls.

1 tsp ginger paste

1 cup hung yogurt
1 cup coriander leaves-chopped

For the rice
2 cup rice-cleaned and washed
2 tsp oil
4 cloves
4 peppercorns
1 cinnamon-broken
4 green cardamoms
1 tsp salt
3 cups hot water
saffron or color mixed in 1 cup warm milk

Tender coconut – 1
Milk – 1/4 litre
Sugar – 1/4 cup

Method

Blend tender coconut flesh, water, sugar.
Add milk, blend again, store in the fridge and serve chilled.

Oats Corn Upma

Ingredients

Oats ( powdered ) – 2 cups
Corn ( cooked ) – 1/4 cup
Peas ( cooked ) – 1/4 cup
Cabbage ( cut finely ) – 1/4 cup
Onion – 1
Capsicum – 1
Tomato – 1
Coconut ( grated ) – 1/4 cup
Ginger green chilli paste – 2 tsp
Lime juice – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
Mustard – 1/2 tsp
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves – a handful
Oil – as needed
Salt – as needed

Method

1. Cut onion, tomato, capsicum finely.
2. Heat oil in a frying pan.

Shrikhand

Ingredients :

1 kg. thick curds
¾ cup powder sugar
a few saffron strands
1 tbsp warm milk
2 tsp elaichi powder

For garnishing :
Silvers of pistachios and almonds

Method :

Hang the curds in a muslin cloth in a cool place for about 3 hours until all the liquid had drained off.
Rub the saffron into the warm milk until it dissolves.
Combine together the hung curds, sugar, saffron mixture and elaichi in a bowl and churn using a hand blender.
Decorate with slivers of pistachios and almonds.
Ready to serve.

Roast Chicken

Ingredients :
1 kg chicken in cut pieces
1 tsp pepper powder
1-1/2 tsp jeera owder
2 tsp any ready curry masala.
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
1-1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vinegar
2 tbsp Oil

Whole spices :
2 elaichi
2 cinnamon
2 cloves
5 pepper corns
2 red chilles
2 bayleaves

Method :
Heat oil hot and fry the whole spices lightly and rub the powdered spices well onto the chicken pieces.
Fry the chicken pieces till all are lightly browned.
Put into the pressure cooker, and cook for one whistle.

Indian Cooking Recipe : Fish Patties

Ingredients :
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Oil for frying

Mix together for the patties :
250 gms codfish, cooked and minced
2 potatoes, boiled and smashed
1 small onion, chopped finely.
1/2″ inch ginger, grounded into paste
3 garlic flakes, grounded into paste
5 green chillies, chopped finely
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander leaves

Method :
Add to the patties mixture ½ of beaten egg. Mix it well.
Make small rolls of the mixture and flatten it. Heat oil for frying.

Ingredients:

4 Ripe Tomatoes
Salt to taste
Pepper
Coriander leaves
Butter

Procedure:

Put the tomatoes in boiling water for 2 min.

Then immediately transfer them to ice-cold water.

Peel the skins and cut the tomatoes into small pieces.

Now take water in a pan, boil it and add the chopped tomatoes.

Add coriander and salt to the boiling mixture. Boil for about 5-6 minutes.

Cool and blend the tomatoes with the help of a mixer.

Sieve the blended mixture to discard the seeds.
