The owner of a dating site that pairs millionaires with beautiful women has claimed that UK is an “ocean of ugly women”.

Gus Terkelsen, who founded the Secret Diamond Club in 2010, believes that the UK needs his service more than anywhere else as there are “so many ugly women over here” that multi-millionaires needed help for the beauties to be filtered, the Daily Star reported.

The 33-year-old Danish entrepreneur said that it requires a lot of effort to find a beautiful woman due to the poor ratio of pretty women to rich men available.

Construction of China-Russia railway bridge begins

Construction started Wednesday on a railway bridge, the first of its kind spread across China’s border with Russia.

Designed with an annual cargo transport capacity of 21 million tonnes, the bridge will connect Tongjiang Port in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province with Nizhneleninskoye in Russia, reported Xinhua.

China and Russia had a five-year negotiation on the project.

Majority of women spend an hour daily on their appearance

A new study has found that 78 percent of women spend almost an hour every day working on their look.

The findings of the `Ideal to Real` body image survey, conducted by the `Today` show and AOL on over 2,000 adults and 200 teens over 16, showed that women spend 335 hours on their hair and makeup per year, which equates to about 55 minutes a day, the Huffington Post. The research also revealed that 60 percent of women and 78 percent of teenage girls have something bad to say about their looks. (ANI)

Researchers have suggested that paracetamol use in pregnancy affect neurodevelopment and cause behavioral dysfunction in tots.

The authors studied 64,322 children and mothers in the Danish National Birth Cohort (1996-2002). Parents reported behavioral problems on a questionnaire, and HKD diagnoses and ADHD medication prescriptions were collected from Danish registries.

More than half of the mothers reported using acetaminophen while pregnant.

A new study has revealed that the size of clitoris matters, and that women with orgasm problems may have smaller clitoris, which is located farther from the vagina.

Researchers at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, who used MRI to scan the pelvic area of 30 women in their 30s, found that ten of these women had rarely or never achieved orgasms despite trying, the Huffington Post reported.

Researchers have revealed that these women with orgasm problems had smaller clitoris and the direct distance between the clitoris and the vagina was 5 to 6 millimeters longer on average.

A new study has found association between diabetes and stroke in women, but the data does not show the same association among men.

The research by Dr Wenhui Zhao, Dr Gang Hu and colleagues at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA, investigated the sex-specific association of different levels of HbA1c with incident stroke risk among 10,876 male and 19,278 female patients with type 2 diabetes in the Louisiana State University Hospital-Based Longitudinal Study (LSUHLS).

Partner’s death increases stroke risk in first 30 days: Study

Bereavement is recognised as a risk factor for death and is associated with cardiovascular events.

Now, new research indicates that the risk of heart attack or stroke is increased in 30 days after a partner’s death.

“We have described a marked increase in cardiovascular risk in the month after spousal bereavement, which seems likely to be the result of adverse physiological responses associated with acute grief,” said researchers.

They concluded that the average obese woman exercised vigorously for about an hour a year. Vigorous activity was defined as an activity that burns fat, such as jogging or jumping rope. Obese men exercised for around 3.6 hours per year.
