Don’t turn mosque row into Babri Masjid-2

I am worried that unless the Akbarabadi Masjid row near Delhi’s Jama Masjid is nipped in the bud, it might become Babri Masjid-2.

Some smalltime politicians are trying to politicize the entire matter by instigating the masses at the site where foundations of a mosque were discovered while digging for Delhi Metro July 6. At the same time, motivated elements from Hindu communal groups are trying to create tensions.

Amid all this, the judiciary needs to be complimented for handling a sensitive issue in a manner most competent.

Ramadan, the Qur’an, and Us

The month of Ramadan is a time when we, despite the struggle, keep ourselves away from that which is otherwise permissible and a necessity in our life. For the past eleven months, at some level we have given preference to our physical self, in terms of nourishment, than our soul. We’ve done things we shouldn’t have, we have probably neglected some duties towards Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala (exalted is He) that we shouldn’t have. Maybe we haven’t been reciting much of the Qur’an or maybe we have been neglecting some of the Prayers.

Drinking Cold water after meal = Cancer!

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.

Once this “sludge” reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.

Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
