John Lee Hancock in talks to direct McDonald’s movie

‘The Rookie’ helmer John Lee Hancock is in negotiations to direct the movie based on the story of McDonald’s food empire ‘The Founder’.

Hancock, 57, hasn’t confirmed yet whether he will be a part of the film or not, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is written by Robert Siegel which portrays the true story of how Ray Kroc, a salesman met Mac and Dick McDonald, who were running their burger business in South California and how they created a billion dollar empire.

Jeremy Renner and Don Handfield are producing the film. The cast has not yet been decided.

David Arquette gets gold teeth

Actor-director David Arquette has flashed his new gold teeth after getting tired of his chipped ones.

The 43-year-old actor was spotted at Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood, California, where he was happily showing-off his new teeth, reported E! Online.

“I go through them like crazy. I’m breaking them and cracking them all the time. So I said to my dentist, ‘How do I not do this?’ and he said, ‘Well, we can put gold for a little while’,” he said.

Arquette is engaged to his Fiancee Christina Mclarty, whom he proposed twice.

The ‘X Factor’ boss was angry when the ‘Smile’ hitmaker criticised the early release of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ new single, Uptown Funk, after it was performed on the UK reality show by contestant Fleur East.

Ronson’s single has already raced to the top of the iTunes chart following the early release and Allen has sent a series of tweets, which she later deleted, slamming the move.

Noel Gallagher has revealed that he has “albums worth” of unheard Oasis songs.

The former guitarist and chief songwriter said he’s never entered the recording studio with less than 30 songs, reported Digital Spy.

“I’ve had a stockpile of songs since 1993. I’ve never written for a specific project, I’ve never been in the studio with less than 30 songs. I’ve just recorded an album, but I’ve still got another 30 songs,” Gallagher said.

Gallagher explained that he wrote at a faster rate than the band released records.

“Spider-Man” actress Kirsten Dunst has been roped in for the second series of TV comedy thriller “Fargo”.

The 32-year-old actress and actor Jesse Plemons will play a married couple Peggy and Ed Blomquist in the TV drama, reports contactmusic.com.

At a book signing for Roy Thomas’s 75 Years of ‘Marvel: From the Golden Age to the Silver Screen’, Lee said, “Oh by the way, I do have a cameo in a new show coming out, a TV show called Agent Carter, I think.”

Carrie Preston joins ‘Happyish’

‘True Blood’ actress Carrie Preston and ‘The Wire’ star Andre Royo have joined Steve Coogan in the cast of ‘Happyish’.

The pair join the Showtime comedy pilot which focuses on one man’s pursuit of happiness, Deadline reported.

The show sees Coogan play a 44-year old whose position is jeopardised when a 25-year-old becomes his boss.

Preston will play Debbie Dubonte, who must reinvent herself after losing her job, while Royo stars as corporate lawyer Barry.

Kathryn Hahn and Bradley Whitford also appear in the pilot. Molly Price will star as Royo’s divorced wife.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s ‘The Walk’ trailer released

The trailer of Joseph Gordon-Levitt-starrer ‘The Walk’ has been revealed.

The film, originally titled ‘To Reach the Clouds’, tells the true story of highwire walker Philippe Petit’s walk between the twin towers of New York City’s World Trade Centre, reported Entertainment Weekly.

‘Back to the Future’s Robert Zemeckis directs the biopic and Ben Kingsley also stars in it.

The story previously inspired 2008 documentary Man On Wire.
