`Puppetmaster` SRK dazzles Dubai fans in `Access All Areas` concert

Shahrukh Khan recently wowed his fans in Dubai when he took the stage during his ‘Access All Areas’ concert.

The 48-year-old actor kicked off his song and dance routine with tracks like ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ from ‘Dil Se’ and ‘Criminal’ from ‘Ra.One’, Gulf News reported.

The show faced crowd-control issues as hundreds of people surged forward to get a closer look at the ‘Om Shanti Om’ star, with one frenzied fan storming the stage to give him a bear-hug, before being taken away by security. (ANI)

Sonakshi sizzles in L’Officiel India’s December issue

Sonakshi Sinha has posed for the cover of L’Officiel India magazine.

Photographer Suresh Natarajan was the one who captured the Bollywood beauty in five avatars.

Showing off a sculpted body, Sinha, who sets the cover on fire in a sheer Jatin Varma gown, seems to have been working at her body, too, L’Officiel India magazine reported.

She also embraces her curves in ensembles by designers ranging from the likes of Amit Agarwal and Pankaj and Nidhi to Falguni and Shane Peacock. (ANI)

Hrithik will undergo test for headaches: Rakesh Roshan

Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan says his actor son Hrithik will get a test done for his recurring headaches but will not undergo any surgery.

Hrithik was suffering from subdural hematoma, caused in the brain as a result of a head injury while performing stunts for his upcoming film ‘Bang Bang’ earlier this year.

He successfully underwent a brain surgery in July this year to remove a two-month-old clot.

The actor is still recovering because of which the shooting schedules of his films ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Shuddhi’ were pushed ahead.

Salman to launch ‘Jai Ho’ trailer in theatre with fans

Superstar Salman Khan is set to launch the trailer of his forthcoming film ‘Jai Ho’ at a single-screen theatre here in the presence of moviegoers.

Salman and his director-brother Sohail Khan have come up with this idea and it is being being experimented perhaps for the first time in Bollywood.

The first look of Hindi films are generally launched in the presence of media.

The trailer of ‘Jai Ho’ would be unveiled at Chandan, a single-screen theatre in suburban Mumbai, on December 5, a spokesperson of the film said today.

HC restrains cable operators from illegally showing Dhoom 3

The Delhi High Court today restrained cable operators from illegally “communicating or distributing” the movie ‘Dhoom 3’, starring Aamir Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, on a plea by its producer Yash Raj Films (YRF).

Justice M L Mehta also asked various internet service providers, including Bharti Airtel, Reliance, MTNL and others to block those sites which illegally show the movie within 48 hours of receiving a written complaint as well as location or url (web address) of the site from the production house.

Boman Irani roots for regional cinema

Despite not knowing the language, he is keen to do a Bengali film and even a play if the script and story fascinate him enough.

In town to inaugurate the Dumdum Film Festival, the man with funny bones Boman Irani told PTI, “If the story is great language can never be the problem.”

Boman, who feels regional cinema will rule the roost in future days, recalls how movies made by Onir and his ilk, on a shoe-string budget created waves and history.

Juhi Chawla set to make Hollywood debut

Juhi Chawla has landed a role in an upcoming movie produced by Steven Spielberg.

The 46-year-old Bollywood star will appear alongside Dame Helen Mirren and Om Puri in ‘The Hundred-Foot Journey’, Contactmusic reported.

The film tells the story of an Indian family relocating to France, and is based on the novel of the same name by Richard C Morais.

Directed by Lasse Hallstrom, the film is currently being shot in Mumbai. (ANI)

Anil Kapoor to soon start second season of ’24’

After completing the shoot of the first season of TV series “24,” Anil Kapoor is set to soon start with the second season. The aim is to create a better product, says the actor-producer.

“The second season will start very soon. We will work even harder and will try to create an even better product,” the 56-year-old said here Saturday at the success party of the show.

Anil says he hasn’t received as much appreciation before, but he believes the best thing about “24” is that the work of all actors has been applauded.

Shah Rukh Khan says Dubai has best audience

Shah Rukh Khan has claimed that he never gets a better audience than Dubai at a press conference at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Ahead of their Access All Areas concert, the 48-year-old actor said that Dubai has always been kind to him and asked the audience to keep coming in big numbers, Gulf News reported.

Khan also said the idea for the song ‘Lungi Dance’, from his recent film ‘Chennai Express’ was born in Dubai. (ANI)

I’m not qualified to write autobiography: Amitabh Bachchan

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he is not “qualified” to pen an autobiography even though he has an illustrious career of over four decades in Indian cinema.

At an open question-and-answer session at the Penguin Annual Lecture 2013 in the capital Friday night, Big B was asked if he has given a thought to sharing some of his life`s experiences via a book.

“I am not qualified to do that,” said the 71-year-old thespian who continues to entertain the people through his films and popular TV show “Kaun Banega Crorepati”.

Vidyut elated with appreciation for ‘Bullett Raja’

Actor Vidyut Jamwal is overwhelmed with the response he is getting for his performance in the recently released film `Bullett Raja`.

After being appreciated in `Commando` and `Force`, Vidyut made a special appearance in the Saif Ali Khan starrer film.
Even though it was a guest role in the film, critics as well as audience liked his performance.

“I am overwhelmed with the positive response I have been receiving. A big thanks to the audiences and critics,” Vidyut said.

Karisma performs for a cause

Actress Karisma Kapoor, who is choosy about her performances, bent the rules for Our Girl Our Pride, an initiative to empower the girl child. She said it’s also a “tribute to all the ladies” from her family.

“It was a fabulous day and I strongly believe in the cause. I generally don’t perform. I am quite choosy about it, but today I performed and paid tribute to all the Kapoor ladies, including (late grandmother) Geeta Bali, (aunt) Neetu Singh, and my mom Babita and sister Kareena supporting the cause,” Karisma, known for her powerpacked performances in “Fiza” and “Zubeidaa”, told IANS.
