Superstar Salman Khan, who has been promoting Swedish-Greek actress Elli Avram ever since she entered the reality show “Bigg Boss 7” house, says he may consider her for a film.

Salman was the host of “Bigg Boss 7”, which ended recently.

When asked whether Elli will be seen with him on the big screen, Salman said: “You will see Elli when a director or producer casts her. We have Elli in mind for sure … I will say that straight out.”

Elli made her Bollywood debut with “Mickey Virus”.

However, Salman clarifies that nobody can take undue advantage of his friendship to get a film.

‘Missing’ actress Alka Punewar in Chennai with her boyfriend

Marathi actress Alka Punewar, who mysteriously disappeared while on her way to Uran in neighbouring Navi Mumbai for a stage show ten days ago, was traced to Chennai, where she had been staying with her boyfriend, the police said here today.

The Mumbai police said that the actress, her boyfriend and their mutual friend had faked her ‘accident’ at Khopoli in Raigad district so that they could elope.

Salman Khan accident trial deferred to Jan 21

A Mumbai court Tuesday postponed till Jan 21 the hearing in the 2002 accident case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan after the prosecution sought time to appeal against the retrial order in the Bombay High Court.

Public prosecutor J.V. Kendralkar informed Sessions Court Judge D.W. Deshpande that the prosecution was awaiting the state government’s response in the matter and accordingly sought time.

Salman Khan’s lawyer Shrikant Shivade opposed the prosecution plea and urged the fresh trial to commence immediately.

Priyanka Chopra to host 59th Filmfare Awards

Priyanka Chopra is all set to host the renowned 59th Filmfare awards that will be held in India’s entertainment capital Mumbai on January 24.

The 31-year-old former Miss World said, “There is a huge pressure because Filmfare has always been entertaining and there has been a standard set by a lot of people so it’s scary”, but she added that she is ready to face the challenge.

Rs 100 crore seems like a forgotten figure! `Dhoom:3`, the latest instalment of Bollywood`s successful action adventure franchise, has grossed Rs 501.35 crore ($83.56 million) worldwide since its release Dec 20 last year.

On Monday, its production banner, Yash Raj Films (YRF), issued a statement confirming the news.

“`Dhoom:3` continues to create history at both the Indian and overseas box office. It is now officially the first Indian film to cross Rs.500 crore worldwide,” read the statement.

Superstar Salman Khan says he is not interested in getting married and is happy being single.

“I am not interested in getting married or having a girlfriend. I am loving my single status. In 30 years I must have been single…I am loving it. I am absolutely having a blast…You have no idea how I am feeling,” Salman said in an interview here.

The 3D version of the cult movie “Sholay” came out Friday.

Actress Shruti Haasan, who was in the city shooting for upcoming Telugu film “Race Gurram”, was Sunday admitted to a private hospital after she complained of acute stomach pain.
