NREGA funds embezzled to the tune of Rs. 23 lakhs, 10 held

CID sleuths arrested ten officials including Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs) and revenue staff on Friday in Kurnool district for embezzling National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGA) funds to the tune of Rs 23 lakh.

The accused are said to have conspired and committed cheating by withdrawing amounts in the names of benami persons by issuing double job cards, besides issuing cards to students, employees and also in the name of dead persons.

(Siasat News): The sleuths of task force, east and south zone team, raided a flat in Gopikrishna residency, New Bagh Amberpet and nabbed eleven persons including two organisers for cricket betting and seized cash and other things like LCD TVs, laptops, printers and set top boxes.

Hostel worker dies after falling from height

A-55-year-old Hostel worker died of injuries which he suffered after falling from fourth floor of a building.

According to S R Nagar police, the deceased, G Laxmamma, W/o Simhachalam, worker in private hostel in ameerpet native of Peddapuram of East Godavari, deceased accidentally fallen from fourth floor of a building on Jan 30 and received multiple injuries, Immediately he was rushed to nearest private hospital where doctors declared she was brought dead. Man dies while crossing railway track

A man died while crossing railway track near Osmania University area. According to Railway police Kachiguda, 40-year-old Arun Kumar, resident of Ambernagar was hit by an unknown train when he was crossing the railway track. He died on the spot. Railway police is investigating the case.

Supermarket worker commits suicide

In an incident occurred in Humayunnagr area, a girl committed suicide in the hostel by consuming poison. However the motive behind the suicide is not yet ascertained.

Inspector Humayunnagar Mr. Biksham Reddy told that 20-year-old Monika who hails from Nalgonda, consumed poison at working women hostel. The girl worked in a supermarket located at NMDC area. Police Humayunnagar is investigating the case.

Woman put on fire

A day after a 23-year-old woman was allegedly set ablaze by a gang at Railway quarters, police suspect that one of the accused, Ishaq, develop resentment against the victim as she had lodged a police complaint against him two months back for cheating.

According to a police officer, “The accused had allegedly cheated the victim promising to marry her a year ago. When she lodged a complaint with Chilkalguda police against him, he planned to take revenge,”. The victim is at present undergoing treatment at Gandhi hospital.

Suicide in hostel
(Siasat News): A girl in a hostel situated at Humayun Nagar committed suicide by consuming pesticide. Humayun Nagar police is yet to ascertain the motive behind her suicide.

Inspector Humayun Nagar police station Mr. Biksham Reddy said that the deceased Monica, 20, hailed from Nalgonda. She has been working in a super market and living in working women’s hostel near NMDC.

A case has been registered ad further investigations are on.

Two cab drivers arrested for outraging modesty of women

The Cyberabad Police arrested two cab drivers today on charges of allegedly outraging the modesty of two women and robbing them after picking them up in their car near the Rajiv Gandhi International (RGI) Airport at Shamshabad here.

Cab drivers R Jagan and T Srinivas, who had observed the movement of working women of RGI Airport during night shifts, targeted them when they travelled alone in cabs during nights, the police said.

2 Cab Drivers arrested who tried to kidnap, Outraged Modesty of women and robbed

On Jan 25 and Dec 16 unknown cab drivers was kidnapping of a women picked up a lady and taking them into interior place threatened outraged the modesty and robbed their belongings. On the complaint of women RGI Airport police registered a case and arrested two persons namely Ratlavath Jagan (26) S/o Lokya, a car driver R/o Tukkuguda of R R District Native of Harshiguda village of Maheshwaram and Terati Srinivas (31) S/o Narayana, a Car Driver R/o Bhupesh Gupta Nagar of Karmanghat Native of Sai reddy guda of Kandukur R R District and recovered Mahindra Verito Car was used in the offence.

The Deputy Superintendent (Personnel), O/o. Depot Manager, R.T.C. Ravulapalem, E.G. district was caught red handed on Jan 30 at 04.40 P M at O/o. Depot Manager, RTC Ravulapalem, when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs. 5,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour of processing the death benefits file related to the deceased RTC Bus Driver.

The Accused Officer is being arrested and produced before the Hon’ble ACB Court, Vijayawada. Case is under investigation. (INN)

Divisional Forest Officer, Eluru, W.G. dist. when she demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs. 5,000 from the complainant, for doing an official favour of processing the file related to the Tractors (2 Nos.) which were seized by the Forest Officials, while carrying the wood.

Sub-Inspector of Excise (A1) and Excise Constable (A2) O/o Excise Department, Armoor, Nizambad District were caught red handed by the ACB Officials at about 3.20 PM on Jan 30 in his residence, when they demanded and accepted an amount of Rs. 15,000 (Rupees Fifteen thousand only) as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour i.e. “Not to register a case against complainant of Toddy shop”.

Bribe amount of Rs.15,000 was recovered. Both the Accused have been arrested and will be produced before the Honorable Ist Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad. (INN)

A 19-year old Private Employee committed suicide by consumed unidentified poison at her Hostel room on Thursday early hours in Humayunnagar Police Limits.

According to police, deceased – A Mounika D/o A Sattaiah R/o Womens Hostel Back side of NMDC of Humayunnagar, took this extreme step of suicide due to personnel problems by consumed un identified poison, immediately shifted to Osmania Hospital for treatment where doctors declared brought dead.

A jobless youth committed suicide in Mallapur area by jumping in front of a train.

According to Secunderabad police 22-year-old Pramod, son of Madan, resident of Habsiguda was dejected of being unemployed. He resorted to the extreme step and committed suicide by jumping in front of a before the train.

Railway police is investigating the case.

Mason falls from 2rd floor, dies

A man fell from the 2nd floor of a building at Bowenpally and died. According to police sources 25-year-old Ashok who was a mason by occupation lived at Bowenpally. Yesterday he was working on the 2nd floor, when he died in suspicious state after falling from the height.

According to police Ashok was hit by electric shock. Investigations are underway.

Girl burnt when resisted sexual advances
(Siasat News): In a grave incident, a girl was burnt alive as she resisted the sexual exploitation in Secunderabad.

This incident occurred in railway quarters last night where two persons set Arshiya Fatima afire. She is under treatment at Gandhi Hospital.

As per the details, some persons had called her to railway quarters and there; they tried to rape her but could not succeed. Out of anger, they poured kerosene on Arshiya’s body and set her afire.

Rival group stab rowdy to death in city

A history-sheeter, Abdul Karim Khan, 33, from Dabeerpura, was murdered by a gang in the wee hours of Monday. The gang, which came on bikes, grabbed hold of him at Dabeerpura crossroads and stabbed him to death. Karim died on the spot.

Abdul Karim Khan was one of the accused in the murder of Shakir, a history-sheeter, in 2011. Police suspect that he might be attacked by the rival group.

Hitech fraud in Petrol Bunks

By tampering with the electronic meters of Petrol Bunks, the customers are being cheated by supplying less quantity of Petrol. Cyberabad police detected this fraud and arrested five persons. The culprits had fixed software chips in the meters of Petrol Bunks. It is alleged that Shiv K. Thomas a Service Mechanic of HP, Mumbai prepared this software. Police seized this software.

Woman set ablaze by four men for resisting rape in AP

A 23-year-old woman suffered burn injuries after four men allegedly set her on fire when she resisted their rape attempt in the Chilkalguda area here on Wednesday, the police said.

The accused, called the woman on her mobile phone and asked her to come to a particular place.

After she reached the place, they allegedly attempted to rape her.

When she resisted, the four accused allegedly poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze, a police officer said, based on the statement given by the woman.

Man kills nephew for ransom in Hyderabad

A man brutally murdered his six-year-old nephew for a ransom of Rs.20,000, police said.

The body of the boy, missing since Tuesday, was found Wednesday on the city outskirts.

The body of Yash Raj Kumar was recovered near Peeran Lake near Narsangi. Morning walkers found the body and informed the police. The boy’s school identity card was also found there.

Yash of Ghode Ki Khabar neighbourhood was a student of LKG at a private school. His parents had lodged a complaint after he did not return home from the school.

Imposter held for posing as IAS officer

Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths have arrested a fake IAS officer who conned several people by promising to provide tickets to special puja at Tirupati temple. It is said that H Venkat Ramna Rao informed Narasimha Charyulu, priest of Sri Ranganathaswamy temple at Ziaguda on phone that he is an IAS officer belonging to Madhya Pradesh cadre and he was very much impressed by his puja. The pseudo officer told the priest that he has influence over Tirupati temple administration and can provide tickets for the special puja.
