Patna: 82-year-old, Zainul Ansari was killed during communal riots in Sitamarhi on the occasion of Dussehra. One-day dharna and protest were staged by All India Muslim Bedari Karwan on Thursday at Guruni Bagh along with the family members of Zainul Ansari.
Among the participants were the two sons and a grandson of Zainul Ansari affected people whose shops, godowns, vehicles and houses were set ablaze. Now they have come to the road.
The protestors demanded justice and legal action against the rioters seen in the video clip. They also demanded that the police officers are also brought to justice for their criminal silence.
The major demands of the Karwan were, action against DM and SP, judicial enquiry into the case, punishment to rioters, withdrawal of false cases against Muslims, 25 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of Zainul Ansari and a government job to one of his family members.
