VH to hold public ballot on new Secretariat at Polo Grounds

Congress senior leader V Hanumanth Rao has said he would hold a public ballot on September 25 on the proposed construction of new Secretariat at Bison Polo grounds.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, VH said the horticulture farmers were concerned as the government failed to release Rs180 crore to be given to 600 farmers as subsidy for the last two years. The farmers, who cultivated flower gardens, were meted out injustice. He asked Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who was saying that there were no dearth of funds, to tell as to why he was not releasing funds to the horticulture farmers. He also demanded that the State government extend financial assistance to the Nerella victims. (NSS)
