Trump’s sanctions ‘crime and aggression’: Hassan Rouhani

Vienna: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday, slammed U.S. President Donald Trump saying the American sanctions against Iran are a “crime and aggression”. He hoped that Iran will survive this round of U.S. sanctions as it has survived before. Reuters has quoted Rouhani as saying “this U.S. government will not stay in office forever, however, the history will judge other nations based on what they do today.”

Hassan Rouhani is on a visit to Vienna in an attempt to save the 2015 nuclear deal after Trump pulled out of it in May. European signatories to the deal are trying to save the accord, which they see as crucial to forestalling an Iranian nuclear weapon.

His country could reduce its co-operation with the UN nuclear watchdog in the wake of the fresh U.S. sanctions against Iranian oil sales, warned the Iranian president.
