Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Sunday named seven candidates for the MLC elections from Local Authorities’ Constituencies.
The TRS candidates include P Satish from Adilabad; Bhanu Prasad and N. Lakshman Rao from Karimnagar; Bhupal Reddy from Medak; B. Lakshmi Narayana from Khammam; Bhupati Reddy from Nizamabad and Trichinappa Reddy from Nalgonda. Polling for 12 MLC seats from Local Authorities’ Constituencies will be held on December 27.
Speaking to media persons at TRS Headquarters Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, party Secretary General and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. K. Keshava Rao expressed confidence that the TRS would win all 12 MLC seats on its own. He made it clear that the TRS would not have any tie-up or understanding with any party in the MLC elections. He said candidates for remaining five seats would be announced soon after consulting Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Keshava Rao said TRS was having majority in all the districts and therefore, it could win the elections without any support from other parties. He denied reports that the party was in touch with Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy in connection with the MLC elections. (INN)
