TRS chalks out plan for mass agitation

Hyderabad, October 16: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has decided to launch a mass movement after Deepavali with a demand for constitutional amendments on the issues of `Hyderabad free zone in the matter of employment’ and equal share for Telangana in Krishna waters.

The party says it would be needless to compare the proposed movement with that of 1969, adding that it might take any dimension and would script a new chapter in the history of Telangana.

The Politburo and state committee met at Telangana Bhavan under the chairmanship of its president K Chandrasekhara Rao today.

Rao called upon party cadre to get ready to face bullets to achieve their goal. The party drew an action plan for a long-term agitation.

The party decided to hold two public meetings, one at Siddipet in Medak district on Oct 21 and another one likely in Hyderabad in the second week of November.

The party president will tour all divisional headquarters in the region from Oct 22 to create awareness in the masses on the Telangna issues and expose the government’s Jalayagnam progrmme.

There will be a `Jail Bharo’ programme on Oct 28.
