Kishtwar(J&K), October 16: Police arrested a person in connection with Rs 1.06 crore robbery in Jammu and Kashmir Bank here and recovered from him over Rs two lakh, a police spokesman said here today.
Shahid Hussain, brother of slain divisional commander of Harkat-ul-Ansar (HuA), was taken into custody recently from Keshwan village in Kishtwar district and stolen money of J&K Bank were recovered at his instance.
With this arrest, police has so far arrested six accused and recovered Rs 51,43,410 in connection with the bank robbery case, he said.
Hussain, who was underground for several months, was working as a Personal Security officer of a contractor in Doda.
The spokesman said that search operation for other suspects and recovery of the remaining bank money by police was going on
