Surprise Check was conducted on the Office of the RTA, Khammam District on July 10, 2014 at 4.45 P.M. Unaccounted amount of Rs. 1,65,520 ( Rupees One lakh sixty five thousand five hundred and twenty only) illegally collected by Motor Vehicle Inspector, Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector and staff through private agents, was seized.
They were collecting amount from the public who came to office to get their work done like learning licences, driving licences, registrations, fitness certificates, reservation of registration number, etc., Relevant records were seized.
