Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah on Friday assured the delegation of Telangana Union of Working Journalists that the State Government would consider providing health cards to journalists.
The TUWJ delegation comprising Srinivas Reddy, D Amar, Varahat Ali Khan and others met the Deputy CM at his chambers in the State Secretariat on Friday and sought his intervention on the issue. They informed Rajaiah that the journalists have been facing problems since the government health insurance scheme. Therefore, they requested the minister to extend health cards to journalist on par with government employees.
Rajaiah, who also holds the Health portfolio, assured the TUWJ delegation that he would take up the matter with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and provide required assistance.
