In yet another shameful incident, a class 11 student who was 15 years old was raped and choked to death in Agra while she was on her way to school. This incident took place in Jasrathpur area of Etah district. On Wednesday morning her body was found miles away from her house. The passerby spotted her body in a dry canal along with her bicycle and schoolbag nearby and immediately informed the police.
Estimating the sensitivity of the issue, heavy police security was deployed in that area along with the deputy inspector general of police (DIG) Preetinder Singh, he spoke to the senior district police officers and also the victim’s family who aid that the girl was raped and then murdered miserably.
DIG said in his statement that “She used to go to the school on a bicycle along with her friend and a cousin. But unfortunately, on Wednesday, both didn’t go to the school. Only the girl left for the school at 7:30 am but never reached. The girl was a student of class XI.”
“She was choked to death with the help of a stole which was a part of her uniform. Her bicycle and school bag were found nearby. Based on the first impression it’s a clear case of murder, but there is also a possibility of rape and once we receive the post-mortem report, then only we can ascertain sexual assault,” he said.
An FIR has been filed under section 376 (rape) and 302 (murder) of IPC against the unknown persons based on the written complaint of her father.
