Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today thanked DMK working president and Leader of Opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly M K Stalin, who welcomed the efforts to uphold social justice by Telangana CM and for fighting for more powers to the States. KCR spoke to Stalin over phone on Monday morning. In a statement in the Assembly KCR recently KCR appealed to the Centre to increase reservations for SCs, STs and Minorities and powers regarding this be delegated to the States. Congratulating and conveying his hearty wishes to Chief Minister KCR on the reservation hike issue, Stalin released a pressnote in Chennai on Sunday.
Stalin mentioned that the untiring efforts by the DMK had led to the string of successes in upholding the social justice and in securing 69% reservation in Tamil Nadu. Stalin also extended his support to KCR, who was making efforts to secure increased percentage of reservations and to delegate powers to the states in this regard. (NSS)
