Hyderabad: The case to decide the ownership of Wakf land pertaining to Dargah Husain Shah Wali is likely to be heard in Supreme Court today. Wakf Board has sought the help of 6 prominent lawyers. Mr. Mohammed Asadullah, CEO of Wakf Board proceeded to New Delhi yesterday. He called on noted lawyer, KV Vishwanathan and briefed him.
Mr. Rajiv Dhawan was given briefing about the case last week. Mr. Rajiv Dhawan and Mr. Vishwanath will argue in Supreme Court on behalf of Wakf Board. The other lawyers who would assist them are Ms. Huzaifa Ahmedi, Mr. Gaurav Agarwal, Guru Krishna and Nikhil Diwan.
Mr. Asadullah briefed Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel and Mr. A.K. Khan about the case. It is understood that Govt. of Telangana would continue to maintain its claim of ownership on this land. If the Govt. withdraws its claim, this valuable land will come under the jurisdiction of Wakf Board.
