APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy has alleged that the ruling parties in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were purchasing the MLAs like cattle in the market. The people would get justice only when the Congress returned power in both the Telugu States, he said.
National Solidarity Committee (NSC) organized former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s 27th death anniversary at Prakasham Hall here on Monday under the leadership of TPCC secretary SK Afzaluddin. APCC president Raghuveera Reddy, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, MP KVP Ramachandra Rao and other leaders participated in the program.
Addressing the meeting, Raghuveera Reddy said the nation was moving fast in development with the foresight of then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He said there was paramount need for the return of the Congress to power to implement the reservations properly in the country.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said the nation was competing with China because of foresight of Rajiv Gandhi and his schemes. Rajiv strived for the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir and strove to strengthen the local bodies, he remembered. He said nobody would forget Rajiv Gandhi’s Sadbhavana Yatra in Hyderabad city and called upon the activists to strive to make the AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister of the nation. (NSS)
