Hyderabad: 3, 40, 000 bank employees throughout the country will go on strike today against the implementation of new Career Progression Scheme. One of the leaders of Bank Employees’ Association told this while talking to newsmen yesterday. This strike effects the functioning of all the State Banks and other associate banks. It is against the mutual decision taken by 5 Associate banks which are bent upon implementing this new scheme. Secretary of Bank Employees’ Association, Mr. Ch. Venkatachalam told that this strike will affect the banking system for two days since Saturday, 9th January is also a weekly holiday for banks.
