Krishna: A couple from Mailvaram town of Krishna district named their newborn ‘Ratan Tata’ as he was born in the medical centre run by the Tata Trust, which is known for its philanthropic services.
The Tata Trust started free medical services across 265 villages in Vijayawada constituency under “Swasth Parivar” scheme, after Vijayawada Member of Parliament (MP) Kesineni Srinivas requested the Trust for its services in the constituency.
Pushpalata, the mother of the child, availed the free medical facility under the scheme. As a token of gratitude, the couple named the child after Ratan Tata.
Srinivas attended the naming ceremony and appreciated the couple’s move.
