Mumbai, August 05: Zeenat Aman ramp at the ongoing IIJWIt had been a treat for the audiences to watch the yesteryear’s glamour queen Zeenat Aman sashaying the ramp at the ongoing India International Jewellery Week (IIJW).The 59-year-old actress, who walked the ramp as a showstopper for Kolkata’s Sawansukha Jewellers, charmed everyone with her ethereal sophistication and elegance and looked more stunning than the 38- year-old actress Mahima Chaudhary, who was also a showstopper at the show.
Zeenat adorned a diamond and ruby set on the ramp
Zeenat, who made an appearance on the ramp after Mahima, looked stunning in the runway, wearing an anarkali with a diamond and ruby necklace. While Mahima sizzled in a black saree with red and gold pallu and a stunning diamond neckpiece. Speaking about the jewellery set, the yesteryear’s actress stated, “It’s intricately crafted with diamonds and a ruby and I think it will be appropriate for a wedding or something.”The Kolkata’s Sawansukha Jewellers, who presented the show, had named their collection as ‘Celestial Divas’ that focused on today’s brides.
They brought out an innovative collection of diamonds pieces, with matching beautifully intricate earrings.
The jeweller’s collection which was spellbinding was inspired by the aura of the ‘Navratnas’ (nine gems).
Mahima prefers endorsements than films While there is no obstacle in Mahima Chaudhary’ way for making a return to the silver screen after a four-year long hiatus, the actress feels that this shouldn’t be taken as her comeback.
Speaking to reporters, Mahima stated, “No plans to come back. When a director is making a movie after four years, it’s not considered his comeback. It should be same with actors. You do a lot of movies then you let others do it when you go and perform another role in life. When you again return to acting it shouldn’t be taken as their comeback. They were always there.”
The actress, after having walked the ramp the previous day for Sawansukha Jewellers, also made an appearance as a showstopper for designer Anand Shah. Mahima, who is enjoying every bit of her life, said that she prefers doing endorsements and appearing on shows over films, as this way she is able to cash in more money.
