The 8th World Mushaira will be held by Anjuman Muhibban-e-Urdu, Telangana on Sunday, January 11 at Lalithakala Thoranam, Public Garden. Mr. Zahed Ali Khan will preside over the grand Mushaira.
According to Syed Miskeen Ahmed founder of Anjuman besides foreign poets, most of the famous poets of India are arriving in Hyderabad for the first time. Urdu lover Chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, deputy chief minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, state minister T Harish Rao, deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy and MPs and KMLAs have been invited for the Mushaira.
Customarily Abid Ali Khan memorial Muhibb-e-Urdu awards will be presented to 4 representative personalities working for the cause of Urdu.
