YSRC banking on sympathy wave, says Sailajanath

Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath on Thursday said that the YSR Congress party was banking on the sympathy wave of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s arrest in the ensuing by-elections.

Talking to media persons while participating in the election campaign for Congress candidate Mursheeda Begum in Anantapur district, Sailajanath said that the YSR Congress party has no agenda and policy on any issue and banking on the sympathy wave of Jagan’s arrest. Accusing Jagan Mohan Reddy of looting the State indiscriminately by misusing former chief minister and his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s official position, he took serious exception on Jagan mother Y S Vijayamma for shedding crocodile tears on Jagan’s arrest and seeking votes in favour of YSR Congress party.

Sailajanath expressed confidence that the people would teach a fitting lesson to corrupt persons in the by-elections and vote in favour of Congress. “The people will know the economic offences committed by Jagan and how many officials and others went to jail because of his greed for money and power,” he stated.

“Why is she raising hue and cry that great injustice has been meted out to Jagan Mohan Reddy after he was arrested by the CBI?,” he asked. He also questioned Vijayamma’s silence over the arrest of other IAS officials who are now languishing in jail for no fault of theirs. (INN)
