Telugu Desam MLA from Nuziveedu Assembly Constituency Chinnam Ramakotaiah on Thursday announced that he will not contest from TDP in the ensuing 2014 elections from the constituency.
Talking to media persons, Chinnam Ramakotaiah said that he took this decision as some section of leaders in the constituency were running parallel rule and creating hurdles for him. Even if the TDP gives ticket from the constituency, Ramakotaiah said that he was not ready to contest in 2014 elections.
Ramkotaiah said that he has no capability to ensure the victory of Telugu Desam Party as a section of leaders were opposed to his candidature. “I am unable to survive in this dirty and conspiracy politics. That’s why I have taken this decision putting an end to the speculation by media,” he said.
Responding to a question, he said that he was yet to take a decision over continuing in the active politics. “I will announce a decision soon in this regard after consulting my well wishers and constituency people,” he said. (INN)
