YSR Congress wants three Ministers to quit

Kadapa, March 24: YSR Congress leaders celebrated the victory of former Kadapa DCCB president C. Narayana Reddy as MLC LAC on Wednesday by bursting crackers and demanded the resignation of the three Ministers – Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, D.L. Ravindra Reddy and Mohd. Ahmedullah – from the Cabinet owning moral responsibility for the defeat of Congress candidate N. Varadarajulu Reddy.

The victory was a stepping stone for the impending success of YSR Congress in subsequent elections in the State and indicative of the rout of Congress, former MLA and YSR Congress leader S. Raghurami Reddy asserted after hoisting the party flag in YSR guest house in Kadapa. The “match-fixing” between Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu to counter former Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohana Reddy’s influence and YSR’s legacy failed, he said.

Former Kadapa Mayor P. Raveendranatha Reddy called upon party leaders and activists to carry on “jenda panduga” (flag hoisting) slated on March 27 with renewed vigour.

He maintained that YSR Congress would win 270 Assembly seats in the next general elections and hat Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy would become the Chief Minister. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy would emerge as a strong leader in the State, Congress MLA of Rajampet A. Amarnath Reddy said.

No stopping

Congress MLA of Jammalamadugu C. Adinarayana Reddy, the younger brother of MLC-elect C. Narayana Reddy, said the Congress bid to harass and influence voters by foisting cases on them proved ineffective in stopping win of YSR Congress backed candidate. Congress MLA of Rayachoti G. Srikanth Reddy said the win was for Jagan’s credibility and would pave way for the party’s win in Pulivendula Assembly and Kadapa Lok Sabha seats. The party would gain power in the State. The people would teach a lesson to Congress leaders who were finding fault with YSR’s schemes Congress MLA of Badvel P.M. Kamalamma said “dharma won over adharma”. Describing Mr. Narayana Reddy’s win as a turning point to the new party, she asserted that MLAs in Jagan group would strive to strengthen YSR Congress as disciplined soldiers.
