YSR aide leaves for Delhi

Hyderabad, September 12: K V P Ramachandra Rao, who is leading a campaign to install Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, left for Delhi today to resume discussions with Congress high command on the succession issue.

“I am going to Delhi to provide any information sought by them,” Rao told reporters before leaving for the national capital.

He returned to Hyderabad yesterday to participate in an all-party condolence meeting organised by the state government last night.

The Congress high command has, however, indicated that it is in favour of continuing status quo for now with K Rosaiah heading the government.

“There is a Chief Minister in Andhra Pradesh. A Cabinet has taken oath. If there is a change in the situation, we will inform you,” Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari said in the AICC headquarters here yesterday.
