Hyderabad, May 27: Elated over the performance of students from the state in the IITJEE 2010, Chief Minister K Rosaiah congratulated the top rankers stating that they have done not only their family and educational institutions but also Andhra Pradesh proud by securing top ranks.
The chief minister pointed out that students from the state have been bagging maximum number of seats in IITs for the past few years by securing top ranks. For the first time in 20 years, the top rank in IIT came to the State.
The chief minister particularly appreciated the efforts of A Jithendar Reddy who bagged first rank in open category and Praveen Kumar who secured first rank in physically handicapped category.
He also congratulated other rankers Uday Shah (second), Madhu Kiran (fourth), Sathwik (sixth), Sabreesh Nikhil (eighth), Neeraj Gopal (ninth) in the open category. He felt that these students will bring more laurels to the State in the days to come.
