Hyderabad: Instructional Media Centre (IMC) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing a three-day workshop “Professional Development Programme on Online Teaching, Learning and Assessment with Open Educational Resources, Education Technology Tools & Moodle MOOC Platform” on November 27.
The workshop is aimed at enhancing interest of the faculty in using information technology for teaching and learning. It is also aimed at improving the quality of education and to raise Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER). Over fifty selected faculty members from different departments will participate in the workshop.
Renowned academic and Professor of ICT, National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), K. Srinivas will hold a series of sessions in the workshop.
According to Mr. Rizwan Ahmad, Director IMC, the aim of the workshop is to build the capacity of faculty to design, transact, assess and deliver courses online in different disciplines with educational technology tools, open educational resources and constructive pedagogy based on free open source Moodle-MOOC platform and connecting them with the digital initiatives of Government of India.
The technology of online education is bringing in digital revolution in the Higher Education landscape, he added.
