Bihar: A 21-year-old woman named Geeta, from North Indian state of Bihar, is suffering from a rare condition called Haematohydrosis, a condition which causes to ‘sweat’ blood from her eyes.
The doctor who was treating her at Sardar Hospital, Dr. Vinayak Singh, said that her blood-clotting cells are functioning properly but she developed a painless condition known as Haematohydrosis causing the bleeding.

According to the news reported in ibtimes, haematohydrosis is a condition, as defined in healthline.com, Hematohydrosis is an extremely rare condition in which you sweat blood. It’s also known as hematohidrosis and hemidrosis. It’s so rare that many people don’t know it exists or if it’s real.
Disgusted with the condition, Geeta’s husband had left her.
This condition is not new, this was also in news earlier when in 2010, Twinkle Dwivedi a 14-year-old was in news when her mother reported that her daughter would “cry blood”.
It is generally caused to one in 10 million, and in this condition blood bleeds from eyes and scalp.
In 2016, another girl from Thailand, Phakamad Sangchai, a seven-year-old was suffering from this condition in which blood bleeded from her eyes, nose, ears and skin every time she would get a headache.
According to the news reported in Daily mail, the seven-year-old told that “I don’t want to be famous, but I just want someone to help me with this mystery illness. It is really spoiling my life and I am so concerned that it will get worse. They tell me that only one person in 10 million people gets this sickness.”
