Narayanpur (Chhattisgarh) : Days after 16 villagers were killed by Naxalites in insurgency-hit Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, one woman Naxalite was killed in a gun battle with the security forces here on Thursday.
Around 16 villagers were killed by Naxals in Narayanpur on February 29 after a kangaroo court accused them of being police informers.
The Chhattisgarh Government yesterday condemned the Naxals for the killings and vowed strict action against them.
Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ajay Chandrakar had said that the ‘inhumane’ act of killing the innocent exposes Naxals’ ‘true face’. (ANI)
