Kolkata: A middle-aged woman caught red-handed a man filming her on a mobile phone through the key-hole of a changing room of Hiland Park mall in South Kolkata on Wednesday night.
When the woman realised that she was being filmed through the key-hole of the changing room, she immediately raised an alarm and alerted the mall authorities.
The friend accompanying the woman chased the man and checked the mobile phone, containing the video. However, the man pushed her and fled.
“I was changing in the changing room, when I suddenly realised that someone was trying to film me through the key-hole,” said the victim.
Meanwhile, the woman has filed a complaint with the Survey Park and the accused has been identified as an employee of the mall.
Officials of the Survey Park police station have begun a case against the accused and are trying to nab him with the help of the CCTV footage collected from the mall, as he continues to be at large.
Future Group has issued a statement, which says that the employee accused of filming woman inside the trial room will be terminated from services
“At Future Group, we have zero tolerance policy for such issues. The person was not our employee but an outsourced staff of the housekeeping agency. We have initiated a legal case against him and terminated his services with immediate effect. We have started investigation on the housekeeping agency as well and are in the process of terminating the contract with them.”
