Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali today stated the TRS government was concentrating to provide bright future to the girls living in Juvenile Homes and taking steps to prepare an action plan in this regard. Mahmood Ali visited the Girls Children Home at Nimboli Adda in Kachiguda here on Thursday.
Speaking on this occasion, the Dy CM said the government will take suggestions to make the girls settle in their life. He asked the officials to take special care regarding girls. There was a need to provide protection, future and security to the girls to settle in their life on their own, he opined. The government was giving top priority to the education of the girls. The government will encourage the girls to grow economically on the own by providing the needed training to them.
He suggested to the officials concerned to provide training to the girls in tailoring, beautician, bakery, house keeping, embroidery and so on while providing basic education to them. The government will encourage the girls, who show interest, to pursue higher education. He also said the government will initiate steps to provide infrastructure to the girls in Children Home. There was a need to construct dormitories to provide facility to the increasing number of children. He asked the officials to see that there should be adequate water in wash rooms, clean toilets and continuous drinking water facility. He said that 21 students have passed Class X examination last year.
Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister walked around the Children’s Home and enquired with the girls taking training in tailoring and beautician courses. He enquired the girls about pursuing education from first class to 4thclass whether they were availing all facilities or not. He advised the children to pursue their education with commitment and grow in their life. Later, he visited the dormitory, kitchen and examined the food being provided to the children. He discussed with the officials on children’s details and the facilities needed in the Home. Later, he planted a sapling on the premises and suggested to all those present there to plant saplings.
Disabled, Women and Child Welfare and Juvenile Welfare Departments secretary Jagadeeshwar, Juvenile Welfare Department Director B Sailaja, Women and Child Welfare Department PD Ashritha, Child Protection Officer Inthiyaz Ahmed, Child Welfare Committee members, Housing, Electricity, Water Works, GHMC and other departments officials, Golnaka Corporator Padma Venkatesham, Childrens Home Superintedent Prabhavathi and others participated in the program.
