Hyderabad: Anjani Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police–Cum-Addl. District Magistrate (Executive), Hyderabad City, has ordered closure of Wine/Toddy Shops and Bars attached to Restaurants (Excluding Bars in Star Hotels and Registered Clubs) within the Twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad from 0600 hours on April 14 to 0600 hours on April 15, on account of Sri Rama Navami Festival on April 14.
Traffic Diversions
The Commissioner of Police also announced traffic diversions from 2200 hrs on April 13 to 2000 hrs on April 14 in connection with Dr B.R. Ambedkar Jayanthi on April 14 at the Tankbund Circle. Traffic diversions and restrictions will be made on need basis as per the local situation.
Traffic coming from Kattamaisamma temple towards Ambedkar Statue via Lower Tank bund will be diverted on to the Telugutalli flyover towards Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi. Similarly, Traffic coming from Children’s Park will not be allowed towards Ambedkar statue and will be diverted at Children’s Park towards DBR Mills, Kattamaisamma –Telugutalli flyover.
Traffic coming from Liberty will not be allowed towards Ambedkar Statue and will be diverted towards BRK Bhavan, I.T.Office, Telugutalli towards Ambedkar statue- Upper tankbund. Traffic coming from NTR Marg and Iqbal Minar towards Liberty will not be allowed and will be diverted at Telugutalli Junction towards I.T.Office, Crystal Hotel left turn Balaji Grand Bazar, while traffic towards Uppar Tank bund will be allowed.
Diversions for RTC Buses:
RTC buses coming from Nirankari Bhavan, Old P.S.Saifabad to go towards Liberty will be diverted at Iqbal Minar towards Ravindra Bharathi, PCR- Basheerbagh. RTC buses coming from Ranigunj, Karbala Maidan to go towards Liberty, Basheerbagh will be diverted at Children’s Park towards DBR Mills, Dhobi Ghat, Kattamaisamma to the Telugutalli flyover and Indira park.
Parking Arrangements
Hyderabad Traffic Police said Lorries and trucks coming for the function should be parked behind Buddha Bhavan. The two and four wheelers be parked at Nizam College Grounds, NTR Garden parking and Lumbini Park.
