TRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao has questioned why State BJP president G Kishan Reddy, who was stating that the BJP would alone carve out Telangana State, did not respond when Telangana movement was at peak stage.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Harish Rao demanded that Kishan Reddy explain why he had gone on foreign trip instead of tendering resignation like his fellow legislator Yendla Laxminarayana. He asked Kishan Reddy, who was saying that his party would carve out Telangana if it was voted to power, why he didn’t speak about Telangana issue when the BJP was in power and how to believe such person’s (Kishan Reddy) statements. People will not believe such person’s statement that he will achieve separate State.
Asking Kishan Reddy to answer what sort of role the BJP played in the Telangana movement before 2009 in the State, Harish Rao said that the BJP, which was asking for votes in Parakala constituency on the plank of Telangana issue, has responsibility to answer how it would bring about Telangana State.
