Mumbai, August 28: Years before she became Miss World and entered the world of Bollywood, actress Priyanka Chopra had such a huge fan-following in her Bareilly hometown that her parents had to protect their house with iron grills to keep her safe from stalkers.
Chopra said she was followed everywhere by her admirers and fans in Bareilly after she she won a local beauty pageant called ‘May Queen’.
“One day, a boy came up to the top floor of my house where I used to sleep. I didn’t know him and he jumped from the terrace to my balcony window.
He was staring at me through the window and I didn’t know him..I was absolutely frightened and told my dad, ‘Papa mere kamre mein koi aa gaya hai, koi khatkhata raha hai’.
