Speaking to mediapersons here today, Dr Venkatesh, chairman of V-Dentis, Dental Care, exhorted cancer patients to “Lead the life like a dream as dreams can be good or bad. We should not think about bad dreams and just forget them after a while and recollect good dreams and enjoy their essence. So lead life like a sweet dream”, Dr Venkat observed. “We are into face-to-face counselling, support groups, educating about cancer and financial and co-payment assistance. Most of the people do not take illness positively and get depressed with it. That depression doesn’t really cure the illness. Such people need to be counseled. This job is taken up by swapnikareha group. We do involve in counseling not only to the patient but also to the attendant as they also need to be in positive thinking, he added.

If the disease is identified earlier, it can be cured faster with positive thinking. So we are trying to bring awareness among people about cancer. With that, they can detect it earlier and take care of their health. For this, we are conducting awareness programs in various places.
