Kolkata, May 28: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today said her party would not desert the UPA government and “make the mistake committed by CPI(M).”
“We will not pull down the UPA government, we will not make the same mistake nor will we blackmail,” Banerjee told a Bengali TV channel obviously responding to Mukherjee’s advice that no one should repeat the “mistake” that CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat had made by withdrawing support to the Manmohan Singh government.
Mukherjee, hinting at UPA coalition partners, had said others should not commit “Karat’s mistake”
Referring to Mukherjee’s statement, the Railway minister said, “Let Pranab da say what he wants. His remarks will not cause any blister on my person. I do not want to be provoked and make the same mistake as CPI(M).
