TRS legislator K T Rama Rao has lashed out at TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for charging his party president and father K Chandrasekhara Rao of mortgaging Telangana for Polavaram tender.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, KTR said that all of them were ready to hang themselves if Naidu could prove his allegation. He asked whether Naidu would shut down TDP and sit at home, if he failed to prove his allegation. Stating that they were all ready for any kind of investigation into KCR’s assets, KTR has asked if Naidu was also ready for such investigation.
Alleging that Chandrababu Naidu’s entire life was replete with back-stabbings and illegal earnings, KTR has challenged the TDP chief to come for an open debate on the properties of the two at any place of his choice.
KTR has maintained that it was TDP which had shown enthusiasm for electoral alliance with the TRS and not the other way round. He said that Naidu, who was maintaining stoic silence on Telangana, made it main business to criticize KCR. He said that despite “Chandra Babu’s screaming at top of his voice and pet animals barking, people of Telangana would teach them a lesson in the by-elections”.
Describing Naidu as a dead snake, KTR said his party had no intention of attacking him. He said that people of the Telangana region were ready for burying both the Congress and the TDP. Referring to the allegation of Naidu that KCR had done nothing for Telangana, KTR said that his father had stalled Parliament on the Telangana issue for a week and it was because of his initiative that all the political parties were now talking in favor of Telangana in Parliament and at the national level.
Alleging that Naidu had dedicated the TDP to contractors, he questioned if there were no greater leaders in the party other than Sujana Choudary and Nama Nageswara Rao. KTR has criticized the Congress and the TDP for hesitating to support the Telangana agitators. He said the people were laughing at Naidu when he spoke about corruption. (NSS)
