Hyderabad, May 18: Union Minister for Health and Incharge of Party Affairs in the State Gulam Nabi Azad today expressed confidence that the AICC, PCC and State Government will be able to fulfill the aspirations of the people in Andhra Pradesh by successfully implementing the National and State-sponsored programmes.
Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan here this evening, Mr Azad said the morale of the Congress Party at all levels was very high as everybody was committed to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
”I met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Former Chief Minister K Rosaiah, PCC President D Srinivas, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, ex-MPs, Ex-MLAs, defeated candidates of Parliament and Assembly”.
”Overall, Mr Azad said”, I have met since yesterday over few thousand Congress leaders, legislators and party functionaries representing the party at different levels.
”I want to take their views to strengthen the party in the state”, he said.
Earlier, the legislators from Chief Minister’s native Chittoor District reportedly informed Mr Azad to take steps for change of guard as the party would be at loss if Mr Reddy continued at the helm of affairs.
