Lucknow, Sep 29 (UNI) Samajwadi Party supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said that his party would accept any judgement of the Allahabad High Court over the Ayodhya title suit.
”SP state president Akhilesh Yadav had already appealed to the people of the state to maintain communal harmony in wake of the judgement,” he said adding that the party will abide by tomorrow’s court verdict.
Criticising Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for creating a ‘ panic’ situation among the people by deploying large contingent of security forces, Mr Yadav told reporters here that people wanted peace but the government was bent upon creating communal tension.
”Such efforts by Ms Mayawati will backfire and people will reject her conspiracy to throw the state into comunnal turmoil,” he added.
Refusing to comment on the Ayodhya issue, Mr Yadav said ”every one knows that I was closely involved in the matter in the late 1980s.”
