Bangalore, April 11: Furious with the Kolkata Knight Riders’ performance in the loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore here, skipper Sourav Ganguly said his side was “absolutely rubbish”.
Fuming at the post-match press conference last night Ganguly hit out at his players for Kolkata’s seven-wicket loss in the Indian Premier League match at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.
“I thought we played good cricket for the first 10 overs and for the next 10 we were absolutely rubbish. In one line, we were rubbish,” Ganguly said.
Visibly upset after gathering his team’s sixth loss, Ganguly said, “I don’t mind losing, but we were pathetic on the field. Let’s be honest. I can talk, I can lift them up but they need to lift themselves. I can’t go and field for them. I can’t go and bowl for them.
