We are doing enough to ensure security of Indian students, says Australian HC

New Delhi, January 06: Not ready to accept any intolerance over attacks on Indian students, Australian High Commissioner to India Peter Varghese Wednesday asserted that his government was doing enough to ensure safety ofIndian students in the country, and it is not pragmatic for any nation to totally abolish crime.

“We have given police wide powers to ensure safety of Indian students in Australia,” Varghese told reporters.

“These measures are designed to address the problem. To ensure full safety we will have to abolish crime in Australia. I don’t think any government can abolish crime totally,” he said.
