Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s top officials of Kushinagar have warned Dalits that if they want to meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath they should put scent and powder.
According to Deccan Herald report, the officials wanted to ensure that Yogi should not get ”stinking feeling”, when he meets the members of the Dalit community.
The district administration has also distributed soap, shampoo, powder and perfume to poor Mushar. They instructed Dalit to take bath and get ready before the inspection of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
An elder member of the community said, ”We were also given scented soaps, shampoos and perfumes and asked to use them before going to meet the chief minister.”
”New toilets were constructed, dusty roads were made pitched and lights were installed within no time,” said a resident of the slum.
Adityanath, who was in Kushinagar on Thursday, visited the ‘Mushar Basti’ at Mainpur Kot village in the district.
