Muzafarnagar, February 26: A local court today issued bailable warrants against three persons facing defamation charges in connection with reality TV show Rakhi Ka Insaaf for not appearing before it.
Additional CJM Jyotsna Singh issued the bailable warrants and directed Sunita Singh, Deo Bhardwaj and Deepak to appear before it on March 25.
The Allahabad High Court had stayed further proceedings of the case against the show host Rakhi Sawant, UTV Software Communication creative director Shrikant Prabhala and directors Harsh Kumar and Shive Kumar.
Complainant Narendra Singh had filed the case against the seven before the Additional CJM Court, alleging that Sawant through the programme had telecast that his wife was married to another man Deo Bhardwaj.
According to the complaint, the telecast had insulted him in the society.
