Congress MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy has accused the TRS Government of misusing the official machinery during the by-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha seat.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Gutha alleged that Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao has converted the R&B Guest House into TRS office. Further, he said by deploying nine ministers for the campaign, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has been trying to influence the officials and police. He also alleged that KCR has been using police to terrorise the leaders of opposition parties.
Gutha said that the appointment of Vice-Chancellor for Kakatiya University was an open violation of election code of conduct. Further, he said KCR cleared mess dues of nearly Rs. 7 crore only to lure students’ community. However, he said that the people of Warangal would teach a fitting lesson to KCR in the by-elections and Congress candidate Sarve Satyanarayana would win with a thumping majority. As against the claims of by-polls being one-sided affair, KCR himself is participating in the campaign.
Later, Gutha, along with other Congress leaders, submitted a memorandum to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal on the violation of model code of conduct by TRS leaders. (INN)
